The Nor’Easter Returns for Year 2!

The Nor’Easter will take place on January 9-10, 2027 at the Track at New Balance.

Over the span of two days at the inaugural 2026 edition of The Nor’Easter, we saw over 1400 personal records/season bests and over 75 New Balance National Qualifiers! This revamped schedule will give athletes an opportunity to compete at the official NBNI race distances at the same speedy facility!

September 3, 2026: Registration will open on Athletic.net.

December 28, 2026 @ 11:59PM EST: Personalized bib deadline, athletes must be entered into the meet by this deadline to receive a personalized bib!

January 5, 2027 @ 11:59PM EST: Registration closes. This deadline is for all entries and seed updates.

January 9-10, 2027: Competition Day 1 and Day 2

Registration Fees

$13 per individual entry

$40 per relay team entry

There is no entry limit per event, teams are welcome to enter as many event entries as they would like.

Registration Help

  • We aim to provide a positive and competitive experience for athletes of all levels. To help ensure athletes are placed in the most appropriate division for their abilities, here’s a breakdown of each category:

    • Freshman/Sophomore Combined: This is a combined division and is intended for any athlete enrolled in the 9th or 10th grade who is no older than 16 at the time of competition.

    • Varsity: This division is suited for athletes who have previously competed at the varsity level or who are preparing to do so in the upcoming winter season. It is ideal for those with more competitive experience.

    • Club/Unattached: A USATF-sanctioned division for athletes not affiliated with a high school, separate from NFHS-sanctioned divisions.

  • All other divisions besides the Club/Unattached division are sanctioned by NFHS.

  • How to correct athlete information (i.e. enrolled grade, age, name, etc.)

Who is this event for?

This a high school track meet for athletes in Grades 9-12. There are opportunities for all ability levels — from first time competitors to those looking for national qualifiers.

How many events can an athlete compete in?

Each athlete may compete in up to four events.

Are there Awards?

Awards will be given to the top 6 individuals/relays in every event division. A varsity team trophy will be given to the team with the highest point total in the varsity events. Varsity events will be scored through the top 6 places (10-8-6-4-2-1).

Payments

Registration for high school track and field meets at the TRACK at new balance must be submitted online via: Athletic.net. Registration fees are not a participation fee. Entries must be paid in full before the start of the meet or else your team or athletes may not participate.

Trials of Miles Racing LLC accepts school checks, track club checks, money orders, purchase orders and credit card payments (fees may apply) before and on the day of the meet. Trials of Miles Racing LLC no longer accepts cash for payment of meet entry!

Checks should be made payable to: Trials of Miles LLC, and include “Nor’Easter” and your school name in the memo line of the check or money order. Please notify us of your payment method when you finalize your entries if you are not paying via credit card. You can email run@trialsofmilesracing.com.
